"Great music knows no boundaries. CMT Crossroads shows the far-reaching roots of country music by pairing country artists with musicians from other genres. Each episode will feature a different set of stars playing together, swapping stories and sharing their common love of music." (from the CMT web site).I do listen to the country music and to classic rock, more to the former than the latter, I admit. The CMT network shows top country videos and their share of corn pone but this show is inspired. Ok, the best! episode! ever! was T-Swizzle and Def Leppard but this one was close.
I have an emotional response to some concert TV. Part of it is the lighting; directed by the lighting director I'll never be. But most of the joy and tears is from watching that combination of art and craft that goes into the production of something like this.
The last one was John Mayer and Jimmy Buffett or some such foolishness, i didn't get through the entire DVR but when this show works it's the read deal. As of this writing there are no rebroadcasts scheduled and nothing on YouTube but i'd keep checking.
If I were me, I'd set my DVR to record all episodes of Cross Roads on CMT. Who knows what the next pairing will be.

Bon Jovi and Sugarland was melting hot. Pat Benatar kicked Martina McBride's butt. At it's bes this is IMHO the best concert TV around.
